The faculty Economics and Law was set up on the September 1, 2002 as a result of the reorganization process carried on within the Academy of Economic Studies. The Faculty was founded, based on the following chairs: General Economics, Social Management, Economic Training and Law. Subsequently, the Chair of Law was reorganized and there was created two new chairs “Private Law” and “Public Law”. We can also mention that during this period of time, the chair “General Eco nomics” was reorganized into the chair of “Economic Theory and Economic Policies”, and the chair “Economic Training” – into the chair of “Economic and Didactic Communication”.

The Faculty of Economics and Law is a faculty with a broad spectrum of specializations and trainings of per sonnel in various fields of the national economy, but also specialists in juris prudence. The basis of all specialties and specializations is the fundamental economic and legal training, as well as specialization in the relevant fields.

Methods, instruments and techniques of action and communication are the core of various university disciplines included in the syllabi of cycles I and II.
